Sparkle Grooming Co. Returns to Carrollwood Roots

For Trisha Jordan and Kendal Potesta, the upcoming launch of a Sparkle Grooming Co. salon in Carrollwood is a literal homecoming. Having grown up just a mile from the new 12917 N Dale Mabry Hwy location, the duo is now spearheading an expansion that aims to anchor five new pet-care sites across Tampa Bay.

The Carrollwood opening on October 12 carries personal weight for Jordan, a Chamberlain High School alumna who earned her first paycheck at 15 in the same retail plaza. Potesta, who attended Gaither High School, is simultaneously developing additional Sparkle locations in Valrico and South Tampa. Their shared goal is to integrate the franchise into the fabric of the communities they once navigated as students.

To bridge the gap between business and neighborhood, the team will host an open house on October 10. The event highlights a partnership with the Mercy Full Project, an animal rescue that will introduce adoptable puppies to the public. Beyond the initial festivities, the salon intends to donate a portion of its membership revenue to the rescue organization after the first three months of operation. The brand relies on a membership-based, quick-service model, requiring groomers to hold AKC safety certification and pet CPR credentials. Appointments for the Carrollwood site are currently open, with founder membership rates available for early registrants.
