Irvine’s Great Park Live Expands Reach as Regional Entertainment Hub

Irvine’s 10,000-capacity amphitheater, Great Park Live, is cementing its status as a Southern California destination this October with a rotating schedule of cultural festivals and high-profile concerts. The venue’s success underscores a broader transformation of the 1,300-acre Great Park into a multi-purpose cultural and recreational anchor.

Irvine’s Great Park Live Expands Reach as Regional Entertainment Hub

Operated by PSQ Productions, the site is moving beyond traditional concert programming to host diverse events like the Mehregan Persian Festival and the Irvine Global Village Festival. This versatility allows the venue to serve as an anchor for larger, multi-stage productions, a capability proven by the recent sold-out Daisy Chain Fields event, which drew over 45,000 attendees to the surrounding grounds.

Mark Entner, CEO of PSQ Productions, notes that the venue's design allows for significant flexibility, enabling producers to utilize adjacent spaces like the Terraced Lawn for custom activations. This capacity for scaling is central to the city’s development strategy, which includes the recent opening of The Canopy retail district and planned professional sports facilities set to debut in 2027. As the city invests in infrastructure like the Marine Way extension to improve regional access, PSQ is already curating the 2027 calendar to further establish the park as a year-round draw for both private event promoters and the local community.
