Ontario International Airport Opens Registration for 5th Annual Runway 5K
Registration has opened for the 5th annual 5K at the Runway, a charity race scheduled for February 6, 2027, at Ontario International Airport. The event invites runners and walkers to traverse the airfield’s National Guard hangar area while raising funds for the USO at ONT to support military service members.
Participants can choose between a 5K race starting at 8 a.m. or a 1-mile family walk at 9:30 a.m. Early registration is priced at $50 and $20 respectively, with rates increasing after December 13. Active-duty military personnel and veterans are eligible for a 50% discount. Beyond the course, a community festival featuring food trucks and local vendors will run until 11 a.m. This year’s event coincides with the airport’s celebration of its tenth anniversary under local control, a milestone marked by passenger growth exceeding 7 million annually.
