Leslie Benton Joins Alabama 9-1-1 Board

With three decades of experience in the wireless sector, Southern Linc account manager Leslie Benton has been appointed to the Alabama 9-1-1 Board. The organization serves as the state’s primary fiscal and technology agent, overseeing the deployment of advanced communications infrastructure for emergency districts across the region.

Benton currently leads a team of sales professionals tasked with developing wireless solutions for government agencies throughout Alabama. Her professional background includes long-standing memberships in the National Emergency Number Association and APCO International, groups that focus on the specialized needs of public safety communications.

Bentina Terry, president and CEO of Southern Linc, noted that Benton’s technical background and familiarity with public safety requirements make her a valuable addition to the board. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Benton has been recognized multiple times as Southern Linc’s Manager of the Year and has spent 28 years supporting the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
