Royal Grand Resorts Launches Gay-Focused Property in Costa Rica

Set to open this November in Manuel Antonio, Royal Grand Resorts introduces a 30-room, adults-only destination designed specifically for gay travelers. The property aims to bridge the gap between upscale hospitality and accessible pricing, offering a clothing-optional environment just minutes from the central Pacific coast's most popular beach.

The resort centers its social experience around a clothing-optional pool deck featuring a swim-up bar and multiple hot tubs. Guests seeking a quieter atmosphere can utilize the on-site steam room and sauna, while the rooftop bar provides a vantage point for sunset gatherings. For beach access, the resort coordinates daily setups at the nearby Playa Espadilla, providing chairs, towels, and picnic services in the local LGBTQ+ section.

Dining and nightlife revolve around the Mango Tango Restaurant and Lounge. The space serves a mix of seafood and steakhouse fare, transitioning into a nightclub environment Thursday through Saturday nights. Beyond the property, staff members facilitate excursions ranging from rainforest hikes and zip-lining to ATV tours and snorkeling, leveraging the resort's proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park. Accommodations span five categories, ranging from 290 to 527 square feet, with all units featuring private balconies and standard upscale amenities.
