The organization has already secured $11.3 million toward its goal, marking a significant milestone as it transitions into the public phase of fundraising. Executive Director Heather Carmichael noted that the project seeks to move beyond traditional service models by crafting a space tailored specifically to the psychological and physical needs of the young people who rely on the center. Construction is slated to begin in April 2027 following a temporary relocation of services.

To manage the complex design and construction process, the nonprofit has assembled a team including BAR Architects, project managers MGAC, and general contractor Howard CDM. Interior design efforts will be bolstered by Bobby Berk, who is working to ensure the aesthetic of the new facility promotes a sense of belonging and dignity. While the current building will be demolished to make way for the new structure, the organization expects to maintain full operations throughout the transition, with project completion currently targeted for December 2028.
