Hans Vestberg joins Humanitas to scale human-centric AI

Hans Vestberg, the former Chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, has joined San Francisco-based Humanitas as a senior advisor and investor. His appointment signals a push toward large-scale enterprise deployments, as the company prepares to integrate its AI agent, CASEY, into the workforces of several Fortune 50 firms starting January 2027.

Vestberg brings experience from his tenure at Verizon, where he oversaw 146 million wireless retail connections, and his previous leadership at Ericsson. At Humanitas, he will focus on institutional partnerships and global distribution, bridging the gap between complex AI infrastructure and practical application for workers. His mandate involves guiding the company through international expansion and refining its growth strategy as it moves beyond its initial pilot phases.

Humanitas CEO Phil Chow stated that the company’s focus remains on economic mobility and health outcomes through its AI agent, which handles long-horizon planning for personal finances and career stability. The firm’s model-agnostic architecture relies on proprietary routing and code-enforced consent to manage workflows across institutional systems. With deployments at major corporations slated for the beginning of 2027, Vestberg’s role will be to ensure the company’s technological framework can sustain growth across diverse global markets.
