Stord Secures $400 Million Credit Facility to Scale AI and Robotics

Atlanta-based logistics provider Stord has secured a $400 million credit facility, an oversubscribed round led by Citi with participation from Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan. The capital infusion arrives as the company eyes a $1 billion revenue run-rate, fueling aggressive expansion in autonomous fulfillment and commerce software.

The financing, which nearly doubled Stord’s original fundraising target, follows a $250 million Series F round earlier this year that valued the firm at $3 billion. These funds are earmarked for Stord Labs, the company’s internal research hub focused on deploying agentic robotics and AI across its fulfillment network. By embedding engineers directly into customer operations, the company aims to sharpen the speed and accuracy of its logistics stack.

To manage this rapid growth, Stord has recruited two veteran executives to its leadership team. Bill Zerella joins as Chief Financial Officer, bringing experience from his tenure at ACV Auctions and his role in Fitbit’s 2015 IPO. Mark Wayland steps in as Chief Revenue Officer after serving in similar roles at Box, Tanium, and Salesforce. With $650 million in total equity and credit capacity raised in 2026, CEO Sean Henry stated the company now possesses the balance sheet necessary to capitalize on its position as a physical intelligence layer for independent commerce.
