The Chesterfield-based manufacturer developed the transporter to solve specific spatial constraints where conventional forklifts could not navigate. By utilizing a single-drive header paired with idler wheel sets, the system provides a tight turning radius and predictable steering. The platform features just over three inches of hydraulic lift, allowing it to clear the floor while maintaining a compact profile. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, the unit is operated via RF remote control, enabling one person to handle heavy loads that previously required multi-operator coordination.

Align Production Systems Unveils 30,000-lb Capacity Platform Transporter
A single operator can now maneuver 30,000-pound pallets through narrow factory aisles using a new custom transporter from Align Production Systems. Engineered for tight facility footprints, the low-profile unit slides directly beneath floor-resting pallets, replacing traditional, less versatile fork-based systems with a streamlined, remote-controlled platform.

Align designed the transporter with a modular architecture to prioritize long-term maintenance. Major sections bolt together, and critical service points—including auto-greasers and battery access—remain easily reachable, minimizing downtime. According to Blake Ringger, an engineer at Align, the system avoids unnecessary complexity, focusing instead on intuitive operation and reliable load distribution. Since its implementation, the transporter has reduced training requirements and accelerated material flow across the facility floor by eliminating the need for complex re-staging maneuvers.
