ASI Secures $99 Million Army Contract for AI Command Systems

The U.S. Army has awarded Boston-based ASI a five-year, $99 million contract to deploy AI-driven command and control software across its combat formations. This indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity agreement follows competitive prototyping work and aims to replace manual coordination processes with automated, predictive decision-making tools for field commanders.

The deal formalizes ASI’s role in the Army’s Next Generation Command and Control initiative. By consolidating disparate data streams into a single predictive interface, the software is designed to execute fires deconfliction tasks at the Corps level in seconds rather than minutes. According to Mark Lepczyk, President of ASI Federal, the technology shifts the focus from managing raw information volume to creating actionable operational advantages through live simulations.

This contract marks another significant government win for the company, following a recent 12-year, $875 million agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration to modernize air traffic management. ASI, which maintains backing from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and Spark Capital, continues to integrate its dual-use AI platforms across defense, energy, and aviation sectors.
