Featherlite Trailers Reconnects With Dealer Network in Iowa

For the first time in nine years, Featherlite Trailers hosted a nationwide dealer summit at its Cresco, Iowa, headquarters. The September 22-23 event served as a strategic reset, bringing partners together to preview new manufacturing technology and updated product lines while reinforcing the brand's long-term growth trajectory.

The summit offered attendees a comprehensive look at the company’s recent capital investments, specifically within its manufacturing facilities. Dealers toured new installations, including a 5-axis machining center from Fom and a 12,000-watt fiber laser system, both designed to sharpen production precision and efficiency. These upgrades align with the company's shift toward modernized workflows for its aluminum and steel trailer components.

Beyond technical demonstrations, the event focused on digital integration. Leadership unveiled new sales-support tools, including 3D product modeling and a streamlined quote builder, aimed at enhancing the customer experience. The sessions also provided a venue for direct feedback between the dealer network and company executives, including CEO Tim Masud and President Justin Queensland, who have prioritized closer collaboration since the company’s 2019 acquisition.

A highlight of the gathering was the recognition of Gary and Tammy Raak of Twin Cities South Trailer Sales, who received the Featherlite Lifetime Achievement Award for their dedication to the brand since the early 1990s. The summit concluded with a product showcase detailing design improvements across the company's car, horse, and livestock lines—including the patent-pending joggle side sheet design found on the Model 4414 stacker trailer, which reduces exterior caulk and improves structural finish.
