UCLA Anderson Honors Journalism Excellence at 2026 Gerald Loeb Awards
The G. and R. Loeb Foundation and UCLA Anderson School of Management gathered industry leaders at Capitale in New York City on October 8 to celebrate the 2026 Gerald Loeb Awards, recognizing the year’s most impactful reporting in business, finance, and the global economy.

Hosted by former CNBC anchor Tyler Mathisen, the ceremony included a somber acknowledgment for journalists imprisoned or lost while performing their duties. Winners across 13 categories included The New York Times, which took home top honors in Breaking News and Investigative reporting, and The Washington Post, recognized for its work in Feature and Explanatory journalism. The awards are supported by a coalition of media organizations, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and the Financial Times, ensuring the continued recognition of reporting that informs and protects the public interest.
