AT&T adds foldable iPhone Duo to lineup with $1,200 trade-in offer

AT&T is expanding its device catalog with the new iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foray into foldable hardware. The carrier is pairing the launch with aggressive financial incentives, offering up to $1,200 in trade-in credits for both new and existing customers starting with pre-orders on October 16.

The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display that collapses into a 5.4-inch outer screen, powered by the A20 Pro chip and iOS 27. Alongside the foldable model, AT&T is stocking the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, both of which integrate Apple Intelligence and Siri AI capabilities. To capture market share, the carrier is also offering up to $800 to cover early termination fees for customers switching from competing networks.

Underpinning these device launches is AT&T’s focus on its converged fiber and 5G infrastructure. Executive vice president Jenifer Robertson noted that the hardware will be backed by the company's "America's Best Guarantee," a service promise that includes automatic bill credits for network outages and priority support. Customers can choose between standard purchasing or the Next Up Anytime program, which allows for annual device upgrades for a recurring monthly fee.
