abrdn U.S. Closed-End Funds Set October Distribution Schedule

Eleven abrdn U.S. closed-end funds have announced their upcoming distribution payments, with shareholders of record as of October 23, 2026, set to receive payouts on October 30. The declaration covers a range of income-focused vehicles, including the Healthcare Opportunities and World Healthcare funds.

The distributions, spanning tickers from ACP to THW, include varied per-share amounts ranging from $0.0300 for the Aberdeen Municipal Income Fund to $0.1700 for the abrdn Healthcare Opportunities Fund. Shareholders should note that these payments are subject to the funds' managed distribution policies, which may utilize current income, realized capital gains, or paid-in capital to maintain stability.

For the abrdn Healthcare Opportunities Fund (THQ) and abrdn World Healthcare Fund (THW), the firm provided estimated source breakdowns under Section 19 of the Investment Company Act of 1940. These estimates indicate that a portion of current distributions for these two funds may constitute a return of capital. The firm emphasizes that these figures are preliminary and subject to change based on final fiscal year-end determinations. Investors will receive formal tax documentation via Form 1099-DIV after the calendar year concludes.

Management cautions that distribution amounts should not be viewed as proxies for investment performance. Because closed-end fund shares trade on secondary markets based on supply and demand, their market price may fluctuate independently of the underlying net asset value. The Board of Directors maintains the authority to modify or suspend these distribution policies at any time, and shareholders are encouraged to consult with tax advisors regarding the specific implications of these payouts.
