Joe Hinrichs Named Chairman of Goodyear Board
Joe Hinrichs has been elected chairman of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s Board of Directors, effective October 7. A board member since 2023, Hinrichs steps into the role as the company transitions leadership ahead of the 2027 annual meeting, when current chair Laurette Koellner is set to retire.
Koellner, who joined the board in 2015, served as independent lead director starting in 2019 before becoming non-executive chair in 2024. Her retirement aligns with the company’s established corporate governance guidelines. Hinrichs credited Koellner for her decade of service, noting his intent to focus on strengthening the firm's competitive position and driving long-term shareholder value.
