The five-day event marks the first time Saudi Arabia has hosted the prestigious Congress since its inception in London in 1933. Under the banner of "Pathways to an Energy Future for All," the gathering will feature KAPSARC President Fahad Alajlan and Dr. Ghadah Alarifi, Dean of the KAPSARC School of Public Policy, as key voices within the Executive Programme. Their contributions span a wide technical spectrum, ranging from the Circular Carbon Economy and artificial intelligence to natural gas markets and ESG governance.

KAPSARC Joins 25th WPC Energy Congress as National Partner
Over 20 researchers and leaders from the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center will descend upon Riyadh from October 11 to 15, 2026. Serving as a National Partner for the 25th WPC Energy Congress, the think tank aims to shape global debates on energy security, sustainability, and technological innovation.

Beyond formal presentations, the Center is spearheading a "Knowledge Sprint" focused on the application of generative AI in oil market analysis. This session aims to bridge the gap between complex econometric data and actionable policy insights. Simultaneously, KAPSARC will host a World Café dialogue dedicated to scaling carbon dioxide removal technologies, including direct air capture and bioenergy systems. To facilitate ongoing engagement, the organization has established a pavilion featuring five thematic hubs—covering oil, transportation, clean energy, AI, and collaboration—to connect domestic research with the international energy community.
