PLT Health Solutions Expands Skin Health Claims for Ceratiq Ingredient

New clinical research on the wheat lipid extract ceratiq indicates improved outcomes for sensitive skin and increased dermal density. By expanding its scientific profile beyond basic hydration and wrinkle reduction, the ingredient now targets structural skin integrity and barrier function at a daily dose of 350 mg.

PLT Health Solutions Expands Skin Health Claims for Ceratiq Ingredient

The findings stem from two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies conducted by PLT Health Solutions. In an evaluation of 60 women with sensitive skin, researchers observed a significant reduction in transepidermal water loss and visible erythema over 90 days. These results suggest that the supplement reinforces barrier function, a claim supported by preclinical data regarding skin-reactivity signaling.

A separate study involving 40 women with dry skin utilized ultrasound and Cutometer measurements to assess structural changes. Data showed measurable improvements in dermal density, skin firmness, and overall hydration compared to a placebo. Jennifer L. Murphy, head of innovation and clinical science at PLT, noted that these instrumental methods provide objective evidence of structural matrix support, distinguishing the product within the beauty-from-within market.

These additions bring the total body of evidence for ceratiq to seven human clinical studies. Sid Hulse, vice president of product development, emphasized that the consistency of these results across multiple independent laboratories provides a competitive advantage for brands looking to substantiate claims regarding collagen-rich dermal foundations. The ingredient remains available in both oil and powder formats for use in dietary supplements and functional foods.
