KaMin and CADAM to Raise Kaolin Prices by 9.5% in December

Rising costs across mining, logistics, and energy sectors have forced KaMin and CADAM to implement a global price increase of up to 9.5% on all kaolin products. The adjustment, scheduled to take effect December 1, 2026, reflects sustained inflationary pressure that has outpaced internal cost-control initiatives.

The Macon-based companies cited a confluence of economic factors for the hike, including elevated raw material prices, labor expenses, and mounting energy bills. Beyond production, the firm points to the volatility of global maritime routes, which has driven up fuel consumption, shipping durations, and insurance premiums. These freight-related expenses have significantly altered the final delivered cost of their mineral solutions.

While the company continues to pursue efficiency improvements to stabilize pricing, current market conditions have rendered these savings insufficient. Management noted that the price adjustment is essential to maintain product quality and supply chain reliability for customers in sectors ranging from automotive and construction to health and beauty. Clients will receive direct notification regarding specific adjustments applicable to their regions and logistics requirements, with potential for further surcharges depending on handling needs.
