Scott Huennekens Joins DeepSight Board to Scale Physical AI Platform
Scott Huennekens, the former chief executive of Volcano Corporation and Verb Surgical, has joined the board of directors at DeepSight Technology. His appointment arrives as the Santa Clara-based firm shifts focus toward commercializing its Physical AI platform, a system designed to integrate real-time sensing and imaging for interventional medicine.

The company is currently refining two core products: NeedleVue, which provides precise localization of instrument tips, and OnPoint, a development-stage technology aiming to deliver ultrasound imaging directly from the point of treatment. By combining these tools with artificial intelligence, DeepSight seeks to provide surgeons with a clearer view of anatomy during minimally invasive procedures. Huennekens’s background in image-guided therapy and robotics is expected to guide the firm through its next phase of growth following a recent Series C financing round.
