The renewal reinforces a strategic effort to offer surgeons more flexible robotic options in the operating room. By maintaining the exclusive distribution of the TMINI system, Zimmer Biomet aims to expand its portfolio of enabling technologies, catering to diverse surgeon preferences in total knee arthroplasty. THINK Surgical CEO Stuart Simpson noted that the extension validates the clinical value the system has delivered to customers and their patients during the agreement's first term.

Zimmer Biomet and THINK Surgical Renew Robotic Partnership
After a successful initial run, Zimmer Biomet and THINK Surgical are extending their distribution partnership for the wireless TMINI Miniature Robotic System. The multi-year agreement secures continued access to the handheld technology, which is designed to integrate specifically with Zimmer Biomet’s Persona Knee System for orthopedic surgeons.

Brad Kessler, President of Robotics, Technology and Data at Zimmer Biomet, emphasized that the collaboration is central to the company’s strategy of building a broad, adaptable ecosystem of surgical tools. The TMINI system serves as a key component of this approach, providing a handheld, wireless solution that complements Zimmer Biomet’s existing knee implant technology. The companies intend to leverage this continued partnership to accelerate the adoption of robotic-assisted procedures across the United States.
