The new flavor, developed by Wingstop’s culinary team, aims to bridge the gap between confectionery and fast-casual dining. The glaze is finished with SOUR PATCH KIDS Bitz and is available across all wing, tender, and sandwich proteins. Michael Skipworth, President and CEO of Wingstop, acknowledged the skepticism surrounding the concept but insisted the flavor profile balances unexpectedly well.

Wingstop Debuts SOUR PATCH KIDS Wicked Punch Wings for Halloween
Wingstop is challenging conventional flavor pairings this Halloween by launching SOUR PATCH KIDS Wicked Punch, a limited-time wing glaze that combines the candy brand's signature sour-to-sweet profile with a savory red berry finish, topped with actual candy bits for a polarizing seasonal stunt.

This collaboration marks the start of the SOUR PATCH KIDS 13 Days of Mischief program. Lauryn McDonough, Senior Director of Candy at Mondelēz International, described the partnership as a deliberate move to push the brand beyond the traditional candy bowl. Club Wingstop members receive early access to the wings beginning October 23, with a nationwide rollout following on October 27. The product will remain on menus through November 5, or until local supplies are exhausted.
