Toro Targets 2027 Market With Robotic Autonomy and Compact Zero-Turns

Toro is splitting its 2027 residential strategy between hands-off automation and high-performance mechanical power. The company’s new lineup features the LiDAR-guided HAVEN AM75 autonomous mower alongside a refreshed series of TimeCutter zero-turn models designed to reclaim garage space without compromising on cutting width or engine muscle.

Toro Targets 2027 Market With Robotic Autonomy and Compact Zero-Turns

The HAVEN AM75 arrives as a direct response to the demand for set-and-forget maintenance on properties up to three-quarters of an acre. Utilizing LiDAR navigation and camera-based obstacle detection, the unit maps boundaries autonomously or via a remote-control mobile app interface. It includes integrated weather sensors to pause operations during rain and is programmed to avoid household obstacles such as pets or toys. Unlike newer market entrants, Toro is leveraging its existing national dealer network to provide service and warranty support for the robotic platform.

For those who prefer manual operation, the updated TimeCutter series introduces a design overhaul aimed at both ergonomics and storage efficiency. The range now features a low-step front end, bolstered high-back seating, and aggressive tire treads for improved traction. A standout addition is the compact 50-inch model, which utilizes a narrow chassis to reduce storage footprint by 20% compared to previous iterations. The full series offers various deck configurations, from 34-inch fabricated decks designed for navigating narrow residential gates to heavy-duty 50-inch options capable of handling up to two acres. These machines will be available through authorized dealers and major retail partners beginning in 2027.
