A hospital employee with 67 years of service and a community initiative that slashed infant mortality by 40% headlined the 36 recipients of the 2026 Healthcare Leadership Awards. Announced October 8 at the Healthcare Experience Summit in Omaha, the honors spotlight individuals and institutions moving beyond metrics to tangible care improvements.

PRC Honors Healthcare Professionals Driving Systemic Change

PRC, which partners with over 2,800 health systems nationwide, selected this year’s honorees based on both national nominations and specific performance data. The awards span four core pillars: patient experience, employee culture, community health, and innovation. Notable recognitions included the new Legacy of Service Award, which went to two Regional One Health team members for their multi-decade tenures, and the PRC Pinnacle Award presented to an executive at Prime Healthcare.

Cynde King, Ph.D., President and CEO of PRC, noted that these stories represent the practical application of healthcare excellence. The categories are designed to highlight diverse achievements, ranging from physician leadership and workplace culture initiatives to programs that utilize post-discharge feedback to ensure safer patient transitions home. By focusing on these specific operational niches, the awards aim to showcase how data-driven feedback translates into healthier, more connected communities.
