Hyundai Earns Ragan CSR Awards for Ocean Conservation and Cancer Advocacy

The company’s collaboration with the Healthy Seas Foundation earned the Cause Advocacy award for its multi-layered approach to marine pollution. Since bringing the global initiative to the U.S. in 2023, Hyundai has integrated employee volunteerism with youth education, turning abstract conservation efforts into tangible community workshops. Veronika Mikos, director of the Healthy Seas Foundation, noted that the partnership successfully bridges the gap between recovering ghost nets from the ocean and fostering long-term environmental commitment among younger generations.

Simultaneously, Hyundai Hope on Wheels received the Social Media Campaign award for its partnership with Zachery Dereniowski, widely known as MD Motivator. By utilizing authentic, narrative-driven content, the campaign reached millions to highlight the reality of pediatric cancer. This recognition underscores the organization’s broader mission to fund research, with Hyundai Hope on Wheels set to reach a lifetime donation milestone of $303 million by the end of 2026. Brandon Ramirez, who oversees CSR for Hyundai Motor North America, emphasized that these awards validate the company's strategy of pairing corporate resources with passionate advocacy to create lasting social impact.
