Temu Secures European E-Commerce Honor for Local Seller Support

At a ceremony in Barcelona on October 1, Temu received the Cross-Border Magazine Award, recognizing the marketplace’s efforts to integrate European enterprises into the digital economy. The accolade underscores the platform’s initiative to lower the operational hurdles and logistical costs currently restricting small businesses across the continent.

Temu Secures European E-Commerce Honor for Local Seller Support

The award acknowledges the impact of Temu’s Local Seller Programme, which debuted in 2024 to provide regional firms with direct access to both domestic and international customers. To streamline integration, the platform now supports over 200 ERP connections and maintains partnerships with 150 delivery providers, including DHL Group and La Poste.

Data gathered from a recent survey across Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, and the UK indicates that the program is yielding measurable results. Half of the participating local sellers reported increasing production capacity or hiring new staff since joining the platform, while 34% successfully expanded their reach into new international territories. These developments follow a series of over 100 consultations between Temu and various European trade associations, which identified high costs and complex connectivity as the primary roadblocks for local vendors.
