The funding follows a recent equity investment from Metier Private Equity, providing the necessary liquidity to accelerate Bisedge’s "Zero CapEx" model. This service-based approach allows clients to replace aging forklifts, reach trucks, and tractors with high-efficiency equipment from Linde Material Handling without upfront capital requirements. By transitioning companies to electric fleets, Bisedge aims to lower total ownership costs while simultaneously reducing carbon footprints across industrial supply chains.

Bisedge Secures €10 Million Finnfund Loan for African Fleet Expansion
Lagos-based Bisedge Logistics & Infrastructure has secured a €10 million long-term loan from Finnish financier Finnfund to scale its electric material handling operations. The capital infusion targets the expansion of its zero-emission fleet, specifically across Nigeria and East Africa, as the company pushes to replace traditional diesel and gas-powered machinery.

Christian Wessels, CEO and co-founder of Bisedge, noted that the long-term tenor of the loan aligns with the company’s multi-year service contracts and equipment lifecycles. For Finnfund, the investment serves as a vehicle to promote clean technology adoption in developing markets. Justin Nthala, Senior Investment Manager at Finnfund, highlighted that the model not only drives down emissions but also fosters local job creation by professionalizing material handling services throughout the region.
