Nanoscope Therapeutics Appoints Gene Therapy Veteran to Lead Supply Chain
Nanoscope Therapeutics has tapped Troy Short, a seasoned gene therapy operations executive, to serve as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain. His appointment arrives as the Dallas-based biotechnology company navigates the final regulatory stages for its lead optogenetic candidate, MOGENRY, toward potential global commercialization.

At Nanoscope, Short will oversee the manufacturing and distribution infrastructure necessary to support MOGENRY, an investigational one-time intravitreal therapy for retinal degeneration. The FDA is currently reviewing the company’s Biologics License Application for the treatment of retinitis pigmentosa, while a separate application is under consideration by Japan’s PMDA. CEO Sulagna Bhattacharya noted that Short’s experience in delivering approved AAV therapies is critical as the company shifts its focus toward building a resilient, high-quality commercial supply network.
