Calian Group Secures C$47 Million NATO Training Contract

Stavanger’s Joint Warfare Centre has tapped Ottawa-based Calian Group for a five-year deal worth 47 million Canadian dollars. The contract tasks the firm with architecting the complex training scenarios that underpin NATO’s strategic exercises, deepening a long-standing partnership between the Canadian service provider and the alliance’s primary collective training hub.

The agreement follows a competitive procurement process, cementing Calian’s role as a primary contractor for the Norwegian-based facility. Calian will oversee the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of simulations used to prepare headquarters and military forces for both immediate and future operational challenges.

This award builds upon existing efforts where Calian already provides subject matter expertise for high-level military exercises. By managing these intricate scenarios, the company maintains its position as a critical infrastructure partner for NATO, ensuring that command structures are stress-tested against evolving global threats.
