Heart to Home Meals Cracks Franchise Times 400 in U.S. Debut

Heart to Home Meals has secured the No. 236 spot on the 2026 Franchise Times 400, marking the senior-focused delivery brand’s first appearance on the list. The ranking reflects a rapid U.S. expansion for the company, which launched its domestic franchise program just two years ago to address the aging-in-place nutrition gap.

The Franchise Times 400 serves as a benchmark for brand health, with this year’s list highlighting a 10.9 percent growth surge in the health and medical sector. Heart to Home Meals enters the ranking backed by its parent company, apetito, which boasts over $1 billion in annual global sales. According to Chris Webb, President of Heart to Home Meals USA, the debut validates the brand’s business model and the reliance of thousands of seniors on their services.

Since opening its first U.S. franchises in 2025, the brand has expanded into North Carolina, Illinois, New Jersey, and Texas. This footprint growth coincides with a production capacity increase following a €12 million investment in the company's Ottawa facility. As the U.S. Census Bureau projects the 65-plus population to reach 23.4 percent by 2060, the company is positioning itself to fill a void left by strained public resources, such as Meals on Wheels, which frequently reports significant waitlists. With no royalties or national marketing fees, the brand is currently recruiting partners for 2027 to meet increasing demand from private-pay customers and Medicare Advantage programs.
