The facility is now an in-network provider, offering a range of services including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, respite, and hospice placement. Administrator Eli Kamins emphasized that the agreement carries a profound responsibility to serve those who have sacrificed for the country with dignity and honor. To facilitate the transition, Accolade has deployed a dedicated team of liaisons to manage VA eligibility verification, medical documentation, and coordination with existing VA care teams.

This expansion marks the third Accolade location to hold a Veterans Care Agreement, joining facilities in Danville and Peoria. By integrating into the United Healthcare Veteran Affairs Community Care Network, the Waterloo center aims to streamline the movement of patients from hospital settings to skilled nursing environments. The facility has also installed an Honor Wall to recognize local service members and maintains a dedicated intake process to assist families with referrals and benefit navigation.
