The deployment in the Williston Basin targeted the persistent industry challenge of proppant production, which frequently forces premature pump shutdowns. Unlike traditional mechanical interventions, the SandBOND™ process utilizes a non-resin, atomized aluminum-based chemistry. The treatment is introduced via a simple bullhead procedure followed by a 24-hour soak, bypassing the need for specialized equipment or intervention rigs.

TenEx Technologies Extends Pump Life in Williston Basin Wells
Chord Energy has successfully eliminated sand-related pump failures in its 10,000-foot lateral wells using a new chemical treatment. By applying TenEx Technologies’ SandBOND™, the operator extended pump run life by over 5x, maintaining continuous production for more than a year without the need for expensive workover rigs.

TenEx CEO Miguel Peña noted that the results validate the technology's ability to stabilize long-lateral wells without sacrificing output. Field data confirms that both test wells achieved 100% regained permeability, with pumps remaining operational beyond the 12-month mark. CTO Amr Radwan highlighted that the primary hurdle for operators is often the trade-off between sand control and flow capacity, a balance this chemical approach claims to resolve.
