Persistent Systems Posts $487.6M Revenue Amid Nagarro Acquisition Push

Persistent Systems reported a 20% year-over-year revenue increase to $487.6 million for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, marking its 26th consecutive quarter of growth. The company concurrently advanced its expansion strategy, securing a 94.04% majority stake in Nagarro to bolster its global engineering and delivery capabilities.

CEO Sandeep Kalra attributed the performance to sustained demand for AI-led digital engineering and enterprise modernization. The firm achieved a 15% EBIT margin during the period, supported by strong order bookings totaling $633.5 million in Total Contract Value. To finance the pending Nagarro integration, shareholders recently approved an equity raise of up to $450 million, with total financing capacity capped at $1.25 billion.

Operational momentum remained high across key verticals, including banking, healthcare, and software, where the company deployed agentic AI solutions to streamline legacy systems. Beyond financial metrics, Persistent earned recognition for its corporate culture and sustainability efforts, including its second consecutive Growth Honor of the Year at the Everest Group Elevate 2026 awards. The firm currently employs over 29,500 people across 21 countries.
