La-Z-Boy Expands Retail Footprint with New Orleans Acquisitions
La-Z-Boy Incorporated has finalized the purchase of two retail locations in New Orleans, marking the latest step in an aggressive expansion strategy. This move pushes the company-owned store count to a record 237, as the furniture giant accelerates its shift toward a more vertically integrated retail model across North America.

Management aims to maintain this momentum by opening approximately 10 new stores annually. The ultimate objective is to reach a total of 450 La-Z-Boy locations throughout the United States and Canada. By controlling the retail experience alongside its manufacturing and distribution operations, the firm seeks to solidify its position in the custom furniture market, where it currently manufactures over 95% of its products domestically.
