Environment Fund and Tanmiah Food Partner on Saudi Reforestation

Under the watchful eyes of Minister Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley, the Environment Fund and Tanmiah Food Company have formalized a strategic partnership to accelerate national sustainability goals. The agreement leverages private-sector resources to bolster Saudi Arabia’s environmental footprint through expanded research and large-scale tree-planting campaigns.

The collaboration centers on scaling Tanmiah’s existing "One Million Trees" initiative, which has already successfully introduced 550,000 trees to the landscape. A primary focus for 2026 involves a SAR 2 million project dedicated to planting 100,000 trees across Al-Ahsa and other designated regions. This effort aligns directly with the broader Saudi Green Initiative and the environmental mandates of Vision 2030.

Beyond reforestation, the MoU establishes a pathway for joint environmental studies, funding coordination, and shared participation in international exhibitions. Munir Al-Sahli, Acting CEO of the Environment Fund, emphasized that the partnership serves to channel private contributions into tangible, national-priority projects. Tanmiah Managing Director Zein Mohammed Attar noted that the agreement provides a structured environment to integrate new technologies and innovative practices into the company’s ongoing sustainability journey.
