JetBlue Marks Two Decades of Nonstop Service to Aruba

Two decades after the inaugural flight between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Queen Beatrix International Airport, JetBlue and the Aruba Tourism Authority are celebrating their long-standing partnership with gate-side festivities and promotional fares aimed at boosting travel to the Caribbean destination.

JetBlue Marks Two Decades of Nonstop Service to Aruba

To commemorate the milestone on October 15, 2026, passengers boarding Flight #1457 were greeted with commemorative keepsakes and invited to sign the Aruba Promise. This initiative asks visitors to act as guests rather than tourists, emphasizing environmental stewardship and cultural respect to preserve the island's character. Sjeidy Feliciano, Area Director for North America at the Aruba Tourism Authority, noted that the collaboration has been instrumental in building deep, lasting connections between the two regions.

Beyond the celebratory atmosphere, the airline is offering discounted fares to stimulate tourism. One-way flights from JFK to Aruba start at $149, while departures from Fort Lauderdale are priced from $139 for specific mid-week travel windows in early 2027. JetBlue Vacations has also introduced a limited-time package discount of up to $550, valid for bookings made through October 21, 2026. While the JFK route remains a primary link, the airline has significantly expanded its footprint in the region over the last twenty years, now providing consistent service from Boston and Fort Lauderdale to support the island's status as a top-tier Caribbean destination.
