Catherine Tan-Gillespie, President of KFC U.S., described the deal as a union of two brands with deep consumer loyalty. Beyond replacing soda fountains, the partnership aims to leverage Coca-Cola’s supply chain and innovation capabilities to create new food-and-drink pairings. The move follows KFC’s recent experiments with expanded beverage menus, including iced coffees and boba, currently being tested at their McKinney, Texas innovation hub.

KFC Switches to Coca-Cola in Major U.S. Beverage Overhaul
Starting January 2027, KFC will end its current soft drink arrangements to exclusively serve The Coca-Cola Company’s portfolio across all U.S. locations. The transition, slated for completion by spring, marks a central pillar in the restaurant chain’s ongoing strategy to modernize its menu and drive customer traffic.

Dagmar Boggs, President of Foodservice & On-Premise for Coca-Cola North America, noted that the collaboration seeks to capitalize on shared growth opportunities across various dining occasions. For KFC, the shift is a calculated attempt to shed its legacy constraints and align with evolving consumer preferences as part of a broader corporate comeback plan under parent company Yum! Brands.
