The "Visit Serbia B2B Networking" event brought together more than 50 industry representatives to align Slovenian interests with the upcoming exhibition, which runs from 15 May to 15 August 2027. State Secretary Leon Korošec and EXPO 2027 CEO Danilo Jerinić emphasized that the event's true value lies in post-expo sustainability—specifically in job-creating investments and lasting trade contracts rather than just the three-month showcase.

Slovenia Prepares for EXPO 2027 Belgrade with Focus on Regional Trade
With over 1,200 Slovenian companies already operating in Serbia, the upcoming EXPO 2027 Belgrade serves as a strategic gateway to deepen cross-border ties. During a recent networking event in Ljubljana, officials outlined a pavilion concept designed to leverage the specialized exhibition for long-term economic and tourism growth.

General Commissioner Saša Lavrič and Slovenian Tourist Board Director Maja Pak Olaj presented the pavilion vision, which centers on "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All." Beyond the exhibition grounds, discussions focused on developing integrated travel packages to encourage visitors to explore destinations across both nations. With bilateral trade reaching USD 2.04 billion in 2025 and 25,000 jobs currently supported by Slovenian firms in Serbia, the initiative aims to capitalize on this established foundation before the arrival of 140 international participants in Belgrade.
