Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City office has steered Volkswagen Leasing through a fresh MXN 2.5 billion long-term debt certificate issuance. The deal, executed via the Mexican Stock Exchange, adds to a growing portfolio of financial maneuvers managed by the firm for the automotive leasing giant throughout the 2025-2026 period.

The certificates carry a variable interest rate and were placed under the company’s recurring issuer program. Underwriters for the transaction included Casa de Bolsa BBVA México and Scotia Inverlat Casa de Bolsa. This latest capital market entry underscores a deepening relationship between the legal team and the issuer, following two significant joint offerings completed last year.

Shareholder David Argueta spearheaded the legal team, with associate Andres Gallastegui managing the preparation of transaction documentation. The move reinforces the prominence of Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City practice, which currently employs over 90 legal professionals focused on large-scale transactional and regulatory projects across Latin America.
