The company’s third-quarter performance outpaced financial forecasts, with adjusted earnings hitting $3.02 a share against the anticipated $2.99. Total revenue climbed to $1.74 billion, bolstered by clearing and transaction fees that reached $1.38 billion. Market data services contributed an additional $243.1 million, marking a 20% increase from the previous year.

CEO Terry Duffy attributed the growth to the launch of new product lines and improved capital efficiencies. Beyond the balance sheet, the firm reached a milestone in its transition toward cloud-managed services. This quarter also marked a period of leadership transition; Duffy, who has guided the company as CEO since 2016, will step down early next year. Lynne Fitzpatrick, the current president and chief financial officer, is slated to succeed him.
