Blacksmith Hits Unicorn Status Following Sequoia-Led Series C
A mere two months after securing a $45 million Series B, software testing platform Blacksmith has reached a $1 billion valuation. The $66 million Series C funding round, led by Sequoia Capital, underscores the surging demand for infrastructure capable of managing the massive volume of code generated by artificial intelligence.

The startup reports a seventeenfold increase in annual recurring revenue, supported by a track record of running more than 90 million individual automated code checks. With a client roster including Mercury and Granola, Blacksmith has now raised $125 million in total capital. This latest injection of funds follows a meteoric rise from a $60 million valuation just one year ago.
