Chief Executive Tania Archibald credited favorable industry dynamics and improved output at the North Star plant for the upward revision. The facility is currently reaping the benefits of a recent debottlenecking project, which has pushed production volumes beyond initial projections. North Star is now tracking toward an earnings result nearly 75 percent higher than its performance in the second half of fiscal 2026.

The company continues to refine its efficiency strategies as it navigates a volatile market environment. This latest financial update arrives as the firm looks to solidify investor confidence following recent takeover interest from Indiana-based competitor Steel Dynamics.
