Endesa Maintains Outlook as Grid Investments Surge

A 15% jump in net profit to 1.96 billion euros has bolstered confidence at Spanish utility Endesa, prompting the company to reaffirm its full-year guidance. The performance, driven by a strategic pivot toward regulated business segments, underscores a broader push to capture shifting energy demand across its core infrastructure.

Endesa Maintains Outlook as Grid Investments Surge

The company reported an ordinary net profit of 2.125 billion euros for the first nine months of the year, a 22% increase over the same period previously. This financial momentum coincides with a 42% surge in grid investments, reflecting management's focus on long-term capacity as electricity consumption climbs.

Regulated business operations now account for nearly half of the firm's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. By prioritizing these stable revenue streams, the utility expects to enhance the predictability of its financial results. Looking ahead, Endesa remains committed to its 2026 target, projecting an ordinary net profit exceeding 2.40 billion euros.
