Kimoto Net Profit Slides to 565 Million Yen in First Half

A 10.7% contraction in bottom-line earnings marked Kimoto Co.’s latest half-year results, as the Japanese manufacturer reported a net profit of 565 million yen for the period ending September 30. Despite a modest uptick in overall revenue, rising costs weighed on the company’s ability to match the previous year’s performance.

Kimoto Net Profit Slides to 565 Million Yen in First Half

Revenue for the six-month period climbed to 5.87 billion yen, up from 5.58 billion yen reported during the same window in 2025. However, this growth failed to translate into higher profitability across the board. Operating profit remained nearly stagnant at 818 million yen compared to 820 million yen a year prior, while pretax profit slipped to 824 million yen from 872 million yen.

Calculated under Japanese accounting standards, these figures resulted in earnings per share of 12.96 yen, down from 14.05 yen in the prior year. The performance reflects a period of tightening margins for the firm, which continues to navigate shifting market conditions despite the increase in top-line sales figures.
