Northwood Space Hits $2 Billion Valuation Following $375 Million Raise

The capital infusion arrives less than a year after the startup secured a $100 million Series B round, signaling aggressive investor confidence in its proprietary antenna systems and satellite software. Northwood Space currently focuses on streamlining data transmission between orbiting satellites and ground stations, a critical bottleneck for modern space operations. Beyond private equity, the firm maintains a strategic relationship with the U.S. Space Force, which previously awarded the company a $50 million contract to modernize the nation’s satellite control network.

Management plans to deploy the new funding to accelerate hiring and scale production capacity for existing government and commercial agreements. To further fortify its balance sheet, the startup has entered into a parallel financial arrangement with HSBC. By combining venture capital with institutional debt, Northwood aims to solidify its position as a primary provider of essential space-to-Earth communication links.
