Trex shares jumped 15% to $57.62 during midday trading, narrowly missing a new 52-week peak after the outdoor living company reported third-quarter financial results that significantly outpaced Wall Street expectations. Trex Shares Surge on Strong Quarterly Earnings Beat

The company posted quarterly sales of $359.5 million, handily beating the $314.9 million consensus estimate from FactSet analysts and marking a notable increase from the $285.3 million reported during the same period last year. Net income reached $52.5 million, or 52 cents per share, surpassing the anticipated 47 cents per share. Adjusted earnings arrived at 55 cents per share, further widening the gap against analyst forecasts.

Management attributed the performance to broad-based volume growth and consistent market share gains. Looking ahead, Trex intends to finalize a $150 million share repurchase program by the end of the year, pushing total buybacks for 2026 to approximately $300 million. The company also provided an optimistic outlook for the fourth quarter, projecting sales between $175 million and $185 million, exceeding current market expectations of $169 million.
