GaNrich Expands Gallium Nitride Portfolio to Challenge Silicon Dominance

Taiwan-based GaNrich Semiconductor has scaled its gallium nitride production to cover a full 40V–1200V range, positioning its GaN-on-Si and GaN-on-Sapphire platforms as a direct alternative to silicon and silicon carbide components in high-demand sectors like AI data centers, electric vehicles, and robotics.

GaNrich Expands Gallium Nitride Portfolio to Challenge Silicon Dominance

The company’s expanded product line targets performance ceilings currently hit by traditional silicon technology. By integrating gate drivers directly into packages and offering pin-to-pin drop-in replacements, GaNrich aims to reduce design complexity for engineers. Its portfolio includes low-to-mid voltage devices for DC-DC conversion and high-voltage solutions for AC-DC power supplies, with a forthcoming 1200V bidirectional switching product designed to enable single-stage power-conversion architectures.

Beyond technical specifications, GaNrich is positioning itself as a strategic alternative in a market dominated by Chinese manufacturing. By coordinating wafer production and packaging resources across Taiwan and global partners, the firm provides a non-red supply chain option for European and U.S. customers. These products have already moved into validation phases with global automotive, energy storage, and industrial partners, marking a shift toward broader market penetration for GaN-based power electronics.
