Middleby Names Steven Spittle as CEO, Effective April 2027

Middleby has set a transition date for its top job: Steven Spittle will become chief executive on April 1, 2027, succeeding Timothy FitzGerald, who will leave the post and the company’s board at the end of March.

The Elgin, Ill.-based provider of commercial foodservice solutions said Thursday that Spittle, 45, will serve as president before taking over as CEO. He has been Middleby’s chief commercial officer since February 2021 and joined the company in 2010.

FitzGerald, who has spent nearly three decades at Middleby and has been CEO since 2019, will step down from both roles at the end of March.
