Boise Cascade plans to acquire two building-materials distribution facilities from Taiga Building Products, one in Rocklin near Sacramento and the other in Sanger near Fresno. The company said the sites will expand its service reach across California and into Northern Nevada.
The Rocklin facility is about 22 miles northeast of Sacramento; Sanger is in California’s Central Valley. Boise Cascade said the locations will help it serve customers in Northern and Central California, along the California Coast and in Northern Nevada.
The company said the acquisition will also strengthen its general product line capabilities and support continued growth in its recently expanded partnership with James Hardie. The deal is expected to close by the middle of the month.
Taiga Building Products will continue to own and operate its other facilities in California. Boise Cascade is a North American wholesale distributor of building materials and a manufacturer of engineered wood products and plywood.
