Garner is set to remain with Conmed through November 2 to assist with the handover process. His successor brings thirty years of financial expertise to the position, having recently finished a tenure as CFO of the pharmaceutical technology company Certara. Gallagher’s departure from Certara was confirmed for July 14.

Beyond his recent work in pharmaceuticals, Gallagher’s background includes a stint as CFO at Cue Health and various finance roles at Becton Dickinson. Conmed announced the move on Wednesday, signaling a shift in its senior management team as the company looks to leverage Gallagher's broad experience in the healthcare and technology sectors.
