Spotify Launches Reserved Ticket Access for Superfans

Spotify is rolling out Reserved by Spotify, a system designed to bypass scalpers by holding two tour tickets for an artist’s most dedicated listeners. By analyzing streaming habits and location data, the platform grants eligible Premium subscribers priority access to seats before they hit the general market.

Spotify Launches Reserved Ticket Access for Superfans

The service debuts today in the U.S., with artist Role Model serving as the inaugural partner for his upcoming tour. Fans identified as top listeners will receive notifications starting June 23, allowing them to purchase tickets through Ticketmaster before the public sale begins. Spotify confirmed it will not collect transaction fees on these sales, which are currently restricted to Live Nation venues.

To prevent gaming the system, the company monitors user behavior to distinguish genuine engagement from automated bot activity. Simply looping tracks in the background will not increase a user's chances of receiving an offer. When an offer is triggered, it appears directly on the listener's Spotify Home screen. Because demand for high-profile shows often outstrips supply, the company noted that offers will be limited, and not every top fan will receive an invitation for every tour. The streamer intends to expand the program to include international markets and smaller concert venues in the future.
